Warm Earthy Paint Colors
Design trends in 2022 are exciting! We will be replacing the gray hues with vibrant earthy tones. We are not afraid of color in 2022! In fact, we are b o l d with our color selections – warm greens, greige’s, a l l the creamy colors, dark blue & some d e e p corals. I have always been partial to a jewel tone, so this 2022 color palette has me swooning!
Lighter Hardwood Flooring
We are proud to offer a wide array of hardwood flooring options to please anyone’s personal taste, whether that is light or dark. However, as we move towards a more organic feel in our design trends, you will be seeing less and less of the dark hardwoods in our professionally designed homes. The lighter, more natural stains will be making a comeback. Our Apex Oak in Crystal is an absolute showstopper!
Stained Cabinets
Painted Cabinets have been trending for the past several years. While we will still offer the painted design in our professionally designed homes, stained cabinet options will be much more prevalent in 2022. My personal favorite is to mix the painted with stained options, for accent and depth! Much like our hardwood flooring options, the cabinet stain colors will showcase warm tones and a natural feel.
Black Accents
I am absolutely mad about Matte Black! This is one of the h o t t e s t design trends right now. I am super excited to be launching new Matte Black options this year from windows, to hardware, to faucets, to lighting, and any accessory we can offer! Multi-Functional Spaces
As we all began spending more time at home in 2020, more focus was needed on our ‘at home’ spaces. How our Hughston Homes Family members could best use their spaces became more top-of-mind. Office, family fitness, peaceful and outdoor spaces are becoming a lifestyle focus in our designs more and more. When we spend so much time at home, we really want our spaces to feel good, while maintaining functionality.
