You've done all the research and looked into home builders to build your dream home. You've finally decided and you go under contract. The building process begins and you're so excited to make your home exactly the way you've been dreaming of. You schedule time to go into your home builder's design center, the moment you've been waiting for, and when you walk in and start looking around, it finally hits you. All the paint samples, countertop samples, and rows of cabinet doors. It all feels overwhelming. So many selections and so many options and you have to choose and make it all work together.
Your home builder might have someone there to assist you and answer questions, but answering questions and actually designing are two very different things.
What the Typical Design Center Experience Looks Like
The person helping you might let you know what's available, what's included in your base price, and what your upgrade options are. They might even make suggestions based on what other homeowners are doing. But they're probably not going to catch that the cool-toned white you're leaning toward is going to clash next to the warm-toned flooring you picked out twenty minutes ago.
By the time you leave, you've made what feels like over a hundred selections. You feel good about some. You're questioning others. And a moment you were so excited for leaves you feeling overwhelmed and unsure.
That's where Hughston Homes does it a little different.
We Don't Just Offer Options. We Offer Expertise.
At Hughston Homes, we have a team of certified design consultants who work directly with buyers building their personalized home. Their whole job is making sure your home looks and feels the way you've dreamed of.
After you go under contract on your selected homesite, you'll receive an email from our design team to schedule your time in our design studio. From there, you work one on one with our team and they walk you through every selection. Want to go bold with a dark cabinet? They'll help you figure out the right countertop and backsplash to go with it so it makes a statement without taking over the room. Not sure where to put that patterned tile you love? They'll find the right spot for it.
They keep you on budget and make sure everything works together so you're not left wondering if you made the right call. You just get to enjoy the process and end up with a home that actually feels like yours.
Quick Move-In Homes That Are Actually Designed
Our design team doesn't just help buyers personalize their homes. They make every design selection for our Quick Move-In homes too. So whether you're building from the ground up or touring one of our Quick Move-Ins, you're walking into a home that was designed with intention.
When you walk through one of our Quick Move-In homes, you're not seeing the same selections copy and pasted throughout the community. Every countertop, every fixture, every last detail was picked by our design team with the big picture in mind.
The countertops work with the flooring. The cabinets make sense with the hardware. The fixture and plumbing finishes all feel like they belong in the same house. And the paint selections tie it all together from room to room so nothing feels disconnected or thrown together.
There's a real difference between a home that's just sitting there available and one where somebody actually thought about how it all comes together. That's what you're getting with our Quick Move-Ins.
You're Going to Live With These Choices
These are the choices you live with every day. What you see when you're making coffee in the morning. What your friends and family won't stop commenting on the first time they come over. The "where did you find that backsplash" and "I love this color" stuff that makes you glad you got it right.
That's why we have a design team. So you're not out there figuring it all out on your own and just hoping for the best.
Questions We Get Often
Do I have to use the design consultants?
Nope. But why wouldn't you? It's included when you build with Hughston Homes and most people end up saying it was one of the best parts of the whole experience.
What if I already know what I want?
Even better. Our consultants love working with someone who comes in with a vision. They'll make sure it all works together the way you're picturing it and catch anything you might not have thought of. Even buyers who show up with a whole Pinterest board planned out are glad they had that extra set of eyes.
